La Voix at this year's TV Baftas

Strictly Come Dancing favourite La Voix has lifted the lid on how she accidentally became embroiled in the UK’s biggest ever jewels heist.

Back in 2009, the future Drag Race UK finalist was working as a theatrical makeup artist, when she was approached by two men who told her that they wanted to appear much older for a music video.

What she was unaware of was that these men were Aman Kassaye and Craig Calderwood, who one hour after their appointment with La Voix, headed to the Graff diamond store on New Bond Street and held it up at gunpoint, making off with around £40 million worth of gems.

“I was booked to do two men who wanted to be made to look older,” she recalled during an interview on the podcast
