More than a decade on from The Inbetweeners’ last outing, a revival of the hit British sitcom has been confirmed to be in the works.
Late on Sunday night, Variety reported that a deal had been struck up between the production company Banijay UK and the two creators of The Inbetweeners, which “paves the way for the return of the hit comedy title”.
Creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris said in a statement that they were “incredibly excited” to be “plotting more adventures for our four favourite friends”.
“Ooh friends,” they, naturally, then added.
The Inbetweeners began life as an original comedy on Channel 4’s sister station E4, revolving around four misfits at a sixth form college.
Running for three seasons between 2008 and 2010, the show launched the careers of its lead actors, © HuffPost
