Nadiya Bychkova on the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing tour

Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has confirmed reports that she was recently taken to hospital after sustaining an injury during rehearsals.

Earlier this week, The Sun reported that the Ukrainian dancer had been taken to hospital in an ambulance after she fell during training.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said at the time: “We were called at 12:37pm on Tuesday 12 August to reports of an incident at Regent’s Park Road, NW1.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and treated one person before taking them to hospital.”

Posting a selfie from her hospital bed on Instagram, Nadiya confirmed on Wednesday that she was recovering after her fall, but assured fans she was now back at home.

“Well… where do I start?” she began. “What a 24 hours!
