Strictly Come Dancing fans were thrilled over the weekend to see that La Voix’s one-woman crusade to become the show’s new host is showing no signs of slowing down.

Last month, it was announced that long-term Strictly hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman would be stepping down at the end of the current series, with the former Drag Race UK finalist (who is one of nine celebs still in the competition) making no secret of her hopes to step into those famous shoes next year.

Having playfully presented a link during the following live show, she took over Tess’ hosting duties during Saturday’s episode by taking over the autocue and introducing herself.

“How did I do?” she joked at the end of her link, prompting Tess to tell her she’d “nailed it”.

And while La Voix may have her tongue in her cheek, plenty of Strictly fans have already come around to the idea of her taking over the gig in 2026…
