Sadie Sink in character as Max in Stranger Things' fourth season

Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers have revealed there was another song they were toying with including in the show’s fourth season before settling on a certain Kate Bush classic.

Back in 2022, the Netflix sci-fi drama sparked a resurgence in popularity for Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill when it was included in a key scene concerning Sadie Sink’s character, Max.

In fact, the song even went on to reach number one in the charts almost 40 years on from its original release due to the boost in sales provided by Stranger Things.

During a new interview with Attitude to promote the upcoming fifth season of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer were asked if there were “any Plan B or C songs for the Kate Bush Running Up That Hill moment”.
