Owen Cooper and Stephen Graham are both up for NTAs for their work in Adolescence

The shortlist for this year’s National Television Awards has been unveiled – and it’s perhaps no great surprise to hear that the hit British Netflix drama Adolescence is leading the way when it comes to nominees.

Fans began voting for their favourites when the longlist was first unveiled in May, with the contenders for this year’s NTAs being unveiled on Tuesday morning.

Adolescence is leading the charge with three nominations, including Best Drama and specific acting nods for cast members Stephen Graham and Owen Cooper.

Ant and Dec, Alison Hammond, Claudia Winkleman and Stacey Solomon also technically have recognition in three categories, all receiving nods in the Best Presenter category (as does
