Charlie Hunnam in character as Ed Gein in Monster

The latest season of Monster has been Netflix’s most-watched show in the UK ever since it began streaming last week.

However, despite its viewing figures, The Ed Gein Story also holds a less than impressive record when it comes to the hit true crime anthology series.

Each season of Monster focusses on a different murder from history, with past seasons centring around Jeffrey Dahmer and the Menéndez brothers, before this latest iteration, which stars Charlie Hunnam as Ed Gein.
