US actor Michael Madsen died of heart failure, his cardiologist has confirmed.

Last week, it was announced that Michael had died at the age of 67, after being found unresponsive at his home in California.

Speaking toNBC4 Los Angeles the performer’s doctor disclosed the cause of death, while stating that heart disease and alcoholism will both be named as contributing factors.

The Reservoir Dogs actor’s manager said last week that the cause of death was thought to be cardiac arrest.
