Lena Dunham has opened up about Netflix’s decision not to renew her romantic comedy series for a second season.

Earlier this year, the streaming giant released Too Much, a TV rom-com created by and starring Lena, with Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe in the lead roles as an American woman and British man who fall for one another after meeting by chance in London.

Last week, it was confirmed the show would not be returning for a second run of episodes, with Lena insisting during a recent FYC panel: “Our intention was always to make Too Much as a limited series.
