Kristen Bell found herself at the centre of backlash this week, when the divisive US network Fox News announced it was launching a new religious podcast featuring the voices of several big-name actors, including the Nobody Wants This star.

On Wednesday, Fox News Media unveiled plans for a 52-episode podcast titled The Life Of Jesus, with broadcaster Ainsley Earhardt introducing each instalment and Kristen joining the likes of Sir Brian Cox, John Rhys-Davies and Sean Astin in lending her voice to the project (she was reported to be voicing Jesus’ friend Mary Magdalene, while her fellow actors are set to play the voice of God, the narrator and the apostle Matthew,........
