Kit Connor and Joe Locke as Nick and Charlie in Heartstopper

Kit Connor and Joe Locke are feeling reflective after completing filming on the upcoming Heartstopper film.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that, rather than a fourth season, the Netflix teen drama would be coming to an end with one final feature-length instalment in the form of a movie.

On Sunday, Heartstopper’s leads Kit and Joe – better known to fans of the series as its central couple, Nick and Charlie – shared emotional posts after announcing that production on the film had wrapped, after getting underway at the beginning of June.

Posting a picture of himself and Kit on set on his Instagram on Sunday evening, Joe wrote simply: “Bye Charlie. Thank you.”

Kit posted a similar picture with Joe on his Instagram story, writing: “Wrapped… thank you for everything.”
