An unrecognisable Colin Farrell in The Penguin

Colin Farrell has ruled out the possibility of reprising his Penguin character for a stand-alone film.

The Irish actor first donned heavy prosthetics to play The Penguin in 2022’s The Batman, completely transforming his appearance to disappear into the role.

Since then, Colin also took the lead in a spin-off TV series exploring the iconic Batman villain’s origin story, for which he won a Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Award, and was most recently nominated for an Emmy.

The popularity of The Penguin has led to some speculation among fans about whether Colin’s character could be the star of his own film.

However, during an appearance on Friday’s edition of The Graham Norton Show, the Banshees Of Inisherin star made it clear that this wasn’t on the cards.
