Sir Brian Cox has once again taken aim at Donald Trump, this time after the US leader’s latest comments about Scottish independence.

During an interview with Sky News, the Succession star – who was born and raised in Dundee – shared his response to Trump’s recent take that Scotland should wait another “50 or 75 years” before holding another vote on whether to separate itself away from the UK, claiming a country “can’t go through that too much”.

A referendum on the matter last took place in 2014, with around 55% of Scottish voters opting to remain part of the UK.
