Warning: This article contains spoilers for the finale of And Just Like That.

Sex And The City reboot And Just Like That has always been divisive, to say the least, but its finale just might go down as the most controversial episode in the show’s history.

Last month, showrunner Michael Patrick King confirmed that season three would be the last outing of And Just Like That, with the last instalment premiering in the UK in the early hours of Friday morning.

And for those fans who’ve already watched it, the general consensus is not good.

The penultimate instalment teased that And Just Like That would end with a Thanksgiving episode, which mostly centred around a party at Miranda’s apartment where she brought her son Brady together with the young woman about to give birth to his child.

Unfortunately, a lot of the other characters chose not to attend the party for a variety of reasons, meaning their stories take place separately (and, regrettably, the last episode doesn’t feature a single shot of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte together).

Compared to Sex And The City’s original finale, And Just Like That’s outing was a lot more subdued, with many characters’ story arcs left fairly open-ended.

As a result, the feeling over on X is that the show went out with something more of a whimper than a bang…

The AJLT finale was so disappointing. They could’ve made so many callbacks to SATC and had the girls all in one room again, but no

Two things can be true: And Just Like That, and this season in particular, were often terrible, and I’m heartbroken it didn’t get a proper ending. I’m the right kind of hater for this show—I wanted to complain about it for at least six years.

I gotta say- this does NOT feel like a 20 year multi-series finale. #AJLT

I defended and adored #AJLT, but literally what was that finale? Honestly fitting

I cannot believe And Just Like That actually just hit an all-time low for its series finale, I'm actually stunned
