La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec performing over the weekend

Strictly Come Dancing favourite La Voix has announced she will not be appearing in this week’s Blackpool special after sustaining an injury during training.

The Drag Race UK finalist had previously made no secret of her hopes to make it through to Blackpool Week throughout the series, as it’s where she began her career in performing.

However, in a statement issued on Tuesday morning, La Voix confirmed “with immense sadness” that she’d be unable to perform on Saturday night.

The BBC said: “Due to injury, La Voix has been advised by doctors to rest and, as a result, will not dance in this weekend’s Black pool specials.

“In line with the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, La Voix and Aljaž [Škorjanec her professional dancer partner] will receive a bye through to next week when it is........
