I can handle potatoes going off after a couple of weeks – though I know they can survive for months in the right conditions, I’m happy enough with how they behave on my countertops.

The same goes for cheese (which usually lasts a while) and berries (they go off quickly, but we eat them quickly too).

But I often wish there was a pick-your-own option for fresh herbs, because I’m sick of watching an entire bunch of parsley wilt in my fridge long before I can finish it.

It seems I’m not alone, either. In a Reddit post shared to , a subreddit in which we normies can ask the pros about our cooking woes, asked: “How do you properly store fresh herbs to make them last more than two days?”

“I’m tired of buying a bunch of coriander or parsley only to have it wilt and turn to slime in my fridge two days later,” they added. (Same.)
