Charlie Hunnam has shared how his girlfriend’s advice helped him through his latest role as Ed Gein.

The British actor depicts the notorious serial killer in the lead role of Netflix’s latest season of Monster, which has already faced plenty of controversy for its graphic depiction of Gein’s crimes while also becoming the platform’s most-watched show in the UK right now.

When asked the very valid question of how one returns to normal life after playing such a heinous character, Charlie admitted he’d begun taking the advice his long-term girlfriend Morgana McNelis when it came to heavier roles.
