It's now been five years since Daniel Craig stepped down from the iconic spy franchise – and rumours have been rife about his replacement ever since.

The wait to find out who will be the next James Bond has been an especially long one – so much so that the franchise’s big bosses are now taking it upon themselves to explain what exactly is going on.

Daniel Craig famously left the role with his last outing as 007 in 2021’s No Time To Die, with speculation about who will be taking over the iconic character not relenting for the last five years.
