Jude Law and Jason Bateman in Black Rabbit

Since it premiered on Netflix this week, Black Rabbit has already proved hugely popular with viewers – thanks in no small part to its impressive cast of established A-listers and up-and-coming names.

The crime thriller follows the owner of a New York bar, named Black Rabbit, whose life gets turned upside down when his chaotic brother returns to the city.

If you’re wondering where you recognise one or two members of the talented cast from, here’s a quick reminder…

Jude Law

Jude Law in 1999's The Talented Mr Ripley

Jude Law plays Jake, the charismatic owner of Black Rabbit, which is the latest in a long line of leading roles in his three-decade career.

The British actor has been a household name since his star-turning performance in Anthony Minghella’s The Talented Mr Ripley, which earned him an Oscar nomination. Since then, he has had a long and illustrious career that has seen him in all kinds of roles, ranging from Christmas rom-com The Holiday to playing Watson in Guy Ritchie’s action-filled Sherlock Holmes and a controversial religious leader in The Young Pope.

Most recently, he appeared in Disney Skeleton Crew as the space pirate Jod Na Nawood. Jod isn’t his first venture into the world of franchises, though, as he previously played a young Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts and Yon-Rogg in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Black Rabbit also reunites June with Zach Baylin, the screenwriter of The Order, in which he played an FBI agent tracking down a white supremacist group.

Jason Bateman

Jason Bateman as Michael Bluth in Arrested Development

Jason Bateman, who plays Jake’s troublemaker brother Victor, is best known for his recent work in hit Netflix crime drama Ozark.

Despite this darker role, Jason is mostly associated with his work in the world of comedy, most notably playing Michael Bluth in Arrested Development. His other comedic roles include Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief and Game Night.

Most recently, he was seen in the Netflix action thriller Carry-On as a mercenary giving instructions to Taron Egerton’s TSA worker.

Jason is also an award-winning director, helming the opening two episodes of Black Rabbit, and scooping an Emmy for his efforts behind the camera on Ozark.

Cleopatra Coleman

Cleopatra Coleman in Dopesick

Cleopatra Coleman, who stars as the esteemed interior designer Estelle, was previously best known for her role as Erica Dundee in the comedy series The Last Man On Earth before being cast in Black Rabbit.
