I’ve been blessed in many ways, but not when it comes to my oily skin.

While it’s often front and centre of the foundation conversation, there’s not quite so much talk about how having oily skin impacts one’s eye makeup.

In particular, I’ve struggled with eyeliner. I’ve searched high and low, near and far, for eyeliner that can handle my skin for longer than a couple of hours before flaking off or smudging.

The inks and pencils and pots other people swore by couldn’t seem to do a thing for me. Either that, or they were gloopy and a huge pain to apply, constantly getting stuck and clumping in my lashes if I didn’t apply them with absolute surgical precision. So with them, I made do, but I wasn’t pleased about it.

I’ve scoured reviews, thumbed through magazines, gone through stores with a fine-toothed comb, and time and time again, I was disappointed.

That is, until I found Eyeko’s incomparable Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner. This bad boy changed the game for me.
