Reversing cuts to our fire service can only happen with political change
As new figures lay bare the crisis facing Scotland's fire and rescue service Colin Brown, an executive council member for the Fire Brigades Union, says change can only come with a complete rethink from politicians.
The figures released this week show that uniformed operational headcount has stagnated this year, meaning that the cuts to firefighter numbers over the last 12 years have not been reversed.
