The 2028 Presidential Race? I know you're saying, "My gosh, that is over two years away." Yes, I know, but I believe the sooner a candidate throws his or her hat in the arena, the better the chances are of becoming the nominee. With the midterm elections ahead, which may give the Democrats an edge in the next session of Congress, I think we could see a record number of aspirants for president from both parties, considering neither party seems to have an overwhelming favorite in the wings.

As we get closer to the midterms, we are going to see some of the early choices becoming more politically visible. I think, if the polls are correct, the Democrats could see gains, and there is a possibility of having a majority in both the House and Senate. That means in the 2028 presidential race they should nominate for president the strongest candidate available.

I haven't seen any polls that show either party with a strong candidate for president, and since the current Republican president has stated, "The Constitution allows a person only two terms," there are already a number of Republican candidates who are expressing an interest in running.
