Canada is facing a barrage of tariffs from the United States and the prospect of uncertainty in the country’s most important trading relationship for the next four years.
The United States is far and away Canada’s largest export market, with 77% of Canadian goods heading south of the border. Given the new protectionist policies of the Trump administration, Canada needs a new economic plan that can lead to real diversification. And that plan needs to come together quickly.
