QOSHE - Opinion: Cleaner oil cannot come at the cost of First Nations' rights The Pathways Alliance carbon capture and storage project is not a transition away from fossil fuels. It is an effort to capture carbon emissions from oilsands production. If Canada and Alberta are going to invest billions of taxpayer dollars and tax incentives to support this industry, it must, at minimum, guarantee respect for First Nations rights, environmental protection and fair benefits for the Nations whose lands and people will bear the risks for generations to come.
