Fund awarding £40 grants to people in need celebrates second anniversary

The Downham Solidarity Fund was set up in May 2023 by Robert Shippey and George Broughton to help people struggling with the cost of living.

Since then, the fund has provided 88 grants totalling more than £3,000.
