Michael Frank, 60, turned his DAF truck into the path of the oncoming biker on the B1145 near Aylsham.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court heard his actions had been “a momentary lapse of concentration with catastrophic consequences”.

The rider of the Suzuki SV 650, a man in his 50s, suffered multiple fractures to his legs, eight ribs, ankle and vertebra in the crash on July 11.
