Daniel Apps, 43, is alleged to have pocketed the takings at the award-winning No. 1 Cromer that he was meant to be banking.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told he had been employed as manager from 2021 to 2023 which allowed him access to the business safe and cash and responsibility for depositing money in the bank.

Prosecutors alleged that following his departure from the job a review had been conducted and takings between October 27, 2023, and November 30 were £25,237 of which only £248 had been paid into bank.

No. 1 Cromer was recently named among in the top 10 fish........
