Reece Reddell-Gee, 26, had been driving at high speed without his headlights on when he flipped his Ford Focus ST in the early hours on February 6.

His passenger, a woman in her 20s, was left with life-changing injuries after suffering a broken spine and deep laceration to her head in the crash on the Northern Distributor Road at Rackheath.

Norwich Crown Court heard she had pleaded with him to stop and turn the lights on.

In the moments before the crash, Reddell-Gee turned to his passenger and apologised before letting go of the steering wheel.
