Stephen Bayfield, from Sheringham, was out for a walk with his dog at the path near Holway Road last Tuesday.

While walking, the 77-year-old tripped over a crack in the concrete footpath and missed his step, which caused him to fall.

"It all happened so fast," he said. "I must have missed the hazard on the footpath and just fell over and really hurt my head."
