The new owners of the Park Hotel in Diss announced they will be opening the doors to the site on November 8 as it enters a "brand-new chapter" as a venue for the community.

They shared the news on the hotel's social media, alongside shutting down a myth that the restoration was funded through taxpayers' money.

In a post on Facebook it said: "The hotel is now under new ownership and management and we’re opening a brand-new chapter, focused on restoring the Park Hotel for the local community.

"Over the past month, our family-run team has been working hard to refurbish the building and bring it back to life."
