Owner of 19th-century mill loses fight for new glamping site

Iain Gwynn had hoped to introduce the three rustic cabins at Earsham Mill, near Bungay, that would be manufactured by a local craftsman on the estate.

The proposed glamping bid had aimed to offer a "peaceful and relaxing retreat" suitable for weekend trips and short breaks.

But South Norfolk Council quashed the bid over concerns the area could flood.

So Mr Gwynn then argued his case to the Planning Inspectorate, a government body that rules over planning disputes.
