Neighbours slam plans for new housing development by A146
David Greenwood, of Albion Properties, submitted an outline planning application to South Norfolk Council last month to build 24 homes in Thurton.
But already the plans have received numerous objections from people living nearby, with fears about the "serious highway safety hazards" it would create.
The proposed site runs by the A146 Norwich Road and is set to be accessed from Vale Road via a new priority T-junction between existing residential properties.
In a transport statement it said that based on highway accident data "there are no prevailing safety issues on the local road network" and that the proposed development "would have negligible effect on overall highway safety in this area".
