Man in row with council after annex bid not given a decision in time
Neil Peek had submitted the proposal to East Suffolk Council for the building off Bungay Road in Beccles in February.
The plans showed the new two-bedroom annex attached to an existing swimming pool extension and aimed to provide facilities for live-in care and accessibility.
But the council did not make a decision on the proposal by the determination date in April.
A planning officer did notify the applicant's agent two weeks later at the beginning of May.
They apologised for the delay and said that they would be recommending refusal of the application.
