Peter Colby Commercials has submitted outline plans to East Suffolk Council to expand the Hornbill Business Park near Beccles to offer “much needed commercial space”.

The 28-acre site, which is south of Benacre Road in Ellough, is a part of the Ellough Industrial Estate and is currently home to Carcom and Emerald Car Services.

Under the new masterplan, the site is expected to grow to 40-acres with more than 20 new units proposed.

The new units are said to be of a similar form, scale and appearance of the existing units, albeit in Nissen hut and portal frame form.
