Council loses battle over plans to improve 'identity crisis' house
Tyler Smith was embroiled in a row with South Norfolk Council after his proposal to make several alterations to his home, off Yarmouth Road in Broome, was rejected.
The changes included raising the roof height to offer a more usable first floor, new windows with obscure glazing, and new front and rear gables for a more uniform design.
But council officials argued that the plans would "result in severe overlooking and a significant loss of privacy" for the neighbours - a concern echoed by the neighbours themselves.
