Sam Oliver, founder and chief executive of BodyPak, has spoken out about East Anglian Schools Trust's decision to apply for the closure of Bungay High Sixth Form from September 2026.

He accused the trust of "giving up" on the young people of the town.

The trust announced the news yesterday that it would put forward the proposal to the Department of Education, which will make the final decision.

Mr Oliver, whose daughter currently attends the school, said: "It is really disappointing and such a shame because the school is a really good school.

“When did the education of our children become a business?”
