Norfolk man found guilty of lying about 'distinguished' military career
The 10 men and two women on the jury have been hearing evidence in the case of Paul Berryman, who has gone on trial at Norwich Crown Court accused of perverting the course of justice.

He had tried to convince jurors he had served a long and distinguished military career with the Parachute Regiment between 1979 and 2007, including active service in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Falkland Islands.
The 62-year-old had tried to put forward his service as exceptional circumstances which might spare him from serving a mandatory minimum five year jail term.

He had been on trial since Monday but on Wednesday (February 5) jurors took just an hour and 28 minutes to find him guilty.
Judge Anthony Bate adjourned sentence until April 11 to allow a fresh........
