Jurors consider verdicts in trial of van driver accused of killing cyclist on A11

A jury of nine women and three men have heard evidence in the trial of Shayne Hill who is accused of causing the death of Cheryl Tye by dangerous driving.

Norwich Crown Court has heard Hill, 32, was allegedly "engaged with his phone" for 10 seconds prior to crashing into Ms Tye on the A11 dual carriageway at Roudham, near Thetford.

She then hit the windscreen of Hill’s blue Citroen Dispatch van, before she landed in the road as her bike and helmet shattered into pieces.
