The walk

1. From the end of the visitor centre, take the path around the outside of the car park to a gap in the hedge. Turn left then pass through the gate into the park. Follow this straight ahead. Take the fork to the right with the lake off to the right. At the junction take the path straight ahead. Follow the field edge path the around the cottages to the road.

The boardwalk. Photo: Peter James 2. Turn right then left at the fingerpost onto the boardwalk. Follow over the bridge then on to the new bridge. This section was closed for two years awaiting this bridge. Follow the boardwalk to the end. The path then makes its way through the meadow to a gap in the hedge. Turn left. Follow the field edge turning right at the corner to a gap out onto the track. Carry along to the road. Go straight on (off to the right is a private wood where you can get a good view of bluebells over the gate). Follow the road around the corner. Follow till the road comes to an end and turns into a track. Turning left follow to the bridge. Cross then bear right along the........
