Suspected 'silent killer' incidents more than triple in Norfolk

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service received 273 calls for carbon monoxide incidents in 2024/2025, compared to just 80 in 2020.

This is a 241pc increase in the number of reports received in the county, according to findings from a Freedom of Information request.

Carbon monoxide is known as a "silent killer" as the gas has no smell or taste, but poisoning can be fatal.
