Sorry still the hardest word as 'Rockettman' refuses to apologise AGAIN

Jim Rockett has been asked to say sorry to fellow Fakenham town councillor David Hunter after he blasted off into an expletive-laden tirade during a row over the state of a boardwalk in the town.

The incident led to a 10-month investigation culminating in a standards hearing at North Norfolk District Council (NNDC), which issued a raft of sanctions that included Mr Rockett making a "clear and unreserved" public apology to Mr Hunter.

He had been expected to do so at a recent Fakenham Town Council meeting, but declined to do so. He had also declined an earlier opportunity to apologise at a previous meeting.

However, the most recent meeting of the full council was when he was required to say sorry, under the terms of the sanction.

He remained silent throughout much of the proceedings until the matter arose later on the agenda.
