Fears sea defence work could be hampered by end of coastal partnership
North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) has become the third council to leave Coastal Partnership East (CPE), after East Suffolk Council and Great Yarmouth Borough Council also agreed to leave the group set up nearly a decade ago.
The three authorities decided to disband it, believing they would be better able to address the rapidly changing challenges of coastal erosion and climate change affecting the Norfolk and Suffolk coasts.
