The former Carscene site in Drayton Road, next to Aldi, could be redeveloped into a garage with a jet wash, electric vehicle bays and a food-to-go option.

It would be open 24 hours, seven days a week, with councillors to make a decision on the scheme this week.

A company called Tankerford, which is behind the development, runs several service stations under the brand name 'Refuel Market'.
