Bus firm boss hits back after MP's claims of poor services

Steff Aquarone, Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, has attracted the ire of Charles Sanders, managing director of Sanders Coaches, after comments he made in parliament this month.

The MP launched a petition calling for improvements to services, claiming people are struggling to get to places they need to like doctor's appointments.

He said: "Buses get us to vital appointments, to the shops, to see our friends and loved ones - at least they used to."

He is calling for more investment and for the rural public transport network to be overhauled to improve connectivity.

But Mr Sanders believes the situation has actually greatly improved in recent years and he has been left frustrated that the MP has not spoken with his firm to discuss the issue.
