Woman killed on A47 while trying to hitchhike home after police took her to hospital
Margarita Korolkevic - who was visually impaired - was hit at the end of an on-slip dual carriageway at Saddlebow, on the edge of King's Lynn, on the evening of November 17, 2024.
An inquest into her death, held this week, was told that earlier in the day the 49-year-old had been taken to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital by police who found her under the influence of alcohol in Wisbech cemetery.

She was assessed as being calm, having full capacity, accepting food and drink, and not receiving any treatment.
A taxi was booked to take her back to Wisbech, but she did not have the means to pay the fare.
CCTV cameras then showed she went to Lynn bus station at around 8.19pm. She was then spotted in the town centre and then on the A47 near the Saddlebow interchange.
