Corton & Carlton Colville Town footballer Frank Samuel, 38, has had a plate fitted in his skull after an operation at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The surgery was carried out four days after Mr Samuel had been involved in an unfortunate clash of heads with an opposing Oulton Utd FC Veterans player during Sunday's Norfolk and Suffolk Veterans league division one north match in Corton, Lowestoft.........
