Corton & Carlton Colville Town player Frank Samuel challenged for a header as his veterans side defended a corner during a Norfolk and Suffolk Veterans league division one north match in Corton, Lowestoft on Sunday afternoon.

But after an unfortunate clash of heads with an opposing Oulton Utd FC Veterans player, Mr Samuel, 38, was left "a little disorientated" following treatment from first aiders who rushed onto the pitch.

Despite wanting to play on, he was taken off the Corton playing field pitch to recover on the subs bench.

With teammates and officials keeping a close watch on him on the sidelines, and checking for signs of concussion, about 15 minutes later he fell off the bench........
