People are set to pay their respects as memories are shared and a funeral cortège honours John Hales later this month.

A hugely talented writer, director, actor and BAFTA nominee, Mr Hales had led a campaign that resulted in the reopening of the Seagull Theatre, in Pakefield, Lowestoft in 2009.
