Characterful Grade II listed property fails to sell at auction

Change-of-use proposals for the coastal property near the town centre were approved last year, with East Suffolk Council granting both listed building consent and full planning permission under delegated powers in March.

The schemes relate to 102 High Street, a two-storey commercial building with a small basement and rear garden. Planning documents said: "Its most recent use has been a commercial art gallery".

However, after being marketed for sale, a "lack of demand" led to proposals........
