Care home in special measures after resident hit and bleach left out

North Bay House in Oulton Broad, Lowestoft was rated 'inadequate' following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Inspectors saw a person punch another resident and bleach had been left out and there were concerns over cleanliness.

However, the care home - operated and run by Hellendoorn Healthcare Limited - said the wellbeing of their residents "has always been our highest priority" as they "remain committed to delivering the highest standards of care."

They said that with robust measures now in place, they were "confident" of regaining its ‘Good’ rating within the next six months.
